Author Biography

Dr. Sari Fine Shepphird is a clinical psychologist and eating disorders specialist from Los Angeles, California. Working with a full spectrum of eating disorders issues, her experience on the subject spans nearly twenty years. In addition to maintaining an outpatient private practice, she provides consultation about eating disorders to the media as well as to other treatment providers. She has enjoyed a long history of public speaking and is very active in advocacy efforts related to mental health issues. She is also the author of Treatment Notes, a Weblog for professional treatment providers who wish to learn more about eating disorders and is a featured Health Expert Blogger for Wellsphere.com. Dr. Shepphird is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the California Psychological Association and also serves in leadership positions for several other mental health organizations and committees. Dr. Shepphird holds both a Ph.D. and Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
